Open Racing Review

Editorial policy

Open Racing Review aims to make racing topics clear, fair and dependable. We separate established context from interpretation, identify uncertainty and correct meaningful errors when they are brought to our attention.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual claims against suitable available material and take care with rules, terminology and historical context. Racing differs across disciplines and competitions, so we identify the scope of an explanation and avoid presenting a particular rule or custom as universal. We do not claim first-hand testing or research that has not been done.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are kept distinct from commercial arrangements. Sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled as such, and a partnership does not guarantee favourable editorial coverage. Partner placements may appear across the publication and are identified so readers can distinguish them from editorial articles.

Corrections and illustrations

Readers can use the Contact page to report a possible error. We review specific, well-explained concerns and update material when a correction is warranted; significant changes are made clear in the relevant article. Some illustrations may be generated with AI, and such images are illustrative rather than evidence of a real event or vehicle.
